JAPANESE GIVES BRONZE WINNING UNDER 23 TEAM $390,000 DOLLARS IN RIO (SEE PICTURES)



The Dream Team have gotten their rewards from Japanese surgeon Katsuya Takasu – Samson Siasia and Mikel Obi were each given $200,000 and $190,000 respectively Japanese surgeon Katsuya Takasu has fulfilled his promise to give the U-23 Dream Team cash rewards for their efforts at the Rio Olympics.

Team coach Samson Siasia and captain Mikel Obi were handed $200,000 and $190,000 respectively. Nigeria defeated Honduras 3-2 to win bronze at the Olympics.

There were fears that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had hijacked the cash rewards but a sports analyst and former goalkeeper for the Super Eagles Idah Peterside who revealed the information later announced that Takasu had rewarded the players.



The Japanese surgeon is giving the money to the team directly at their hotel after this victory.
