From
May to date the federal government has released a total sum
of N400 billion for capital vote, the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun,
has said.
Speaking
yesterday while briefing press in Abuja, she said any moment from next week the
government will also release another N60 billion to contractors.
Adeosun explained that unlike before when the money were release quarterly, this administration was fully prepared to release capital votes as funds roll in but would take necessary steps to ensure the procurement processes were transparent.
On the state of the
economy, Mrs. Adeosun urged economic patriotism by buying made-in
-Nigeria goods, as she said that is the easiest way to come out of the current
challenges on forex crises.
