IMO STATE GOVT DEMOLISHES 15 HOUSES BELONGING TO KIDNAPPERS ,ARMED ROBBERS



More  than 15 houses alleged to belong to criminals in Umuagwu Mgbuisii in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State have been demolished by the Imo State Police command and state security outfits.

The operation led by the state deputy governor Prince Eze Madumere in collaboration with the Nigerian Police, is the second time aimed at totally tackling crimes in the state.

Addressing journalists during the exercise, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu said that the resolve to take the battle back to the criminals had become necessary to stop them from operating. He revealed that a lot of intelligence had gone into the new approach to combat crime.

He expressed satisfaction with the crime-free status of Imo State, which he vowed to sustain.

The CP commended Owelle Rochas Okorocha for improving security infrastructure and for rapidly responding to his responsibilities towards arresting some situations.

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere disclosed that those whose buildings were being demolished were caught in the act of kidnapping, armed robbery and other criminal activities.
