News reaching CKN News has it that President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled his visit to Lagos scheduled for tomorrow..

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina confirmed this in a chat with the Editor in Chief of CKN News, Chris Kehinde Nwandu this evening.

He informed us that the President will be represented by his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo..No reason was given for the cancellation.

CKN News check revealed that the State government has expended so much in its preparation of the visit. As at 9.25pm today when CKN News visited the Lagos Island, contractors were still seen mounting the flag of ruling APC with the pictures of the President Buhari as well as that of Governor Ambode on the 3rd mainland bridge apparently not aware that the President will not make the visit

Feelers have it that the state government is not happy with the cancellation after all the preparation it has made towards the two day visit.

This was the one paragraph statement issued by the Vice President’s office today.

“President Muhammadu Buhari will be represented in Lagos State tomorrow on an official visit by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

On behalf of the President, Prof. Osinbajo would commission a number of projects in the state as part of the visit.
