BODIES OF 2 MISSING FED GOVT COLLEGE ,EBONYI STUDENTS RECOVERED..COMMUNITY REACTS



Ebonyi state Police Command has discovered the dead bodies of the two missing students of Federal Government College, Okposi in Ohaozara local government area of the state.
The two students were declared missing on May 14.

In a statement, the police spokesman, ASP George Okafor, said that following the report made to the police, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Peace Ibekwe Abdallah, led other senior police officers with the SARS team on ground for on the spot operational assessment and rescue of the missing students.

The PPRO disclosed that the dead bodies were discovered at a bamboo grove in ATA River, about half a kilometre from the college premises.

According to him, the discovery was sequel to information received while interacting with the entire community leaders, youths and other stakeholders of the area.

He added that in response to the information, the Command combined teams discovered the decomposing corpses of the two missing students whose parents were on hand to identify them.

However, the bodies of the two students were evacuated and deposited in the morgue for autopsy.

OKPOSI  – E 8 EXPRESSES SHOCK OVER THE DEATH OF TWO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, OKPOSI STUDENTS

Early in the morning of Monday, May 23, 2016, the news broke that two students of Federal Government College who were reportedly missing were found dead.

At an emergency meeting of Okposi E - 8 held on May 23, 2016, at Garki, Abuja, it was resolved as follows:

Okposi E – 8 is shocked and expresses serious concern over the unfortunate death of these students.

We call on law enforcement agencies to take all steps necessary to unravel the cause of death; exploring all possible leads. This is the first time that such bizarre development is being reported in Federal Government College, Okposi since the establishment of the School in 1965.

We encourage our people, friends and lovers of our Community to rise to this new challenge and provide adequate information to law enforcement agents for a thorough investigation to establish the cause of death. All concerned should not pander to sentiments but allow reason and morality to prevail.

Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased, the School, and the entire Okposi.
