About 80 members of the Boko Haram insurgents, on Thursday, surrendered to troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in Bama, Borno State.
The terrorists, among whom were commanders, suppliers and foot soldiers confirmed to have taken part in several attacks, especially on Bama town, Borno State, surrendered as a result of the intense heat and continuous offensive action embarked by troops, according to a statement by Colonel Sani Usman, acting Director of Army Public Relations.
According to a statement issued by the Nigerian Army, other terrorists are encouraged to also surrender or face total annihilation.
The statement requested citizens to continue providing useful information to security agencies that will lead to apprehension of terrorists
