Tragedy has struck in Lagos as a policeman had his right hand severed while trying to arrest a commercial bus.The unfortunate incident happened in broad day light in the ever busy Lagos metropolis.While no one could give an an exact information as to what led to the incident,it was believed that the policeman just like the others like him are always in the habit of extorting money from their victims..For this one,it was a risk taken too far as seen in these pictures
I suppose other policemen in Lagos will learn a big lesson. Those doing illegal arrests with LASTMA at Iyana Iba, Iyana Isashi, Maza Maza, Festac Side Expressway, should also learn from this as their turns are hastily awaiting them. Police in Lagos are criminals! Government should please look into what the policemen in lagos are doing. A lady police officer told me that if policeman/woman wants not to go to the station for over a year, it is possible - so far he/she is delivering money to their powers that be. I was shocked when I heard it. No wonder so many policemen are illegally impounding vehicles and harassing motorists in all parts of lagos metropolis in the name of controlling traffic. They will arrest you for 'no side mirrow', not wearing your seat belt, etc. things that under normal circumstance will be done by the VIO. The police authorities and LASTMA Head should take not of my submissions.
