Former Reggae Star Daniel Wilson Writes Farewell Tribute To GEJ

Former Reggae Star and aide to Goodluck Jonathan,Daniel Wilson WROTE:
“IN MY GRIEF, PLEASE LET ME CRY!!
I rise to join millions peace loving people all over the world in saluting Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as a true democrat and hero who singularly doused the tension in the land and averted streams of bloodshed by accepting defeat even with the prospect of victory.

However, the huge tributes that has poured in, following this noble act and the huge sacrifice that he made, does not truly reflect and accurately represent the mood of the whole Nation, it is certainly not the mood of the people from my region, his region. The mood of the real majority of this Nation is that of shock, with pains and bottled up frustrations. The dignity in his decision has humiliated us, humbled us to our knees and we cry with broken hearts.

As a true democrat, he has also told us his supporters, not to disrupt the peace and coexistence of our Nation by accepting the result and we will abide, we will try, but I believe that for this moment in our country's history to be well captured and well documented, our profound grief and melancholy must be registered. We will not like Buhari’s supporters, run in to the streets slaughtering innocent people and burning houses, but we must peacefully mourn our loss and register our betrayal by the self acclaimed owners of the Nigerian nation.

We must protest against this premeditated result and the treasonable acts of its perpetrators, with an objective to direct Nigerians and the world in a post appraisal of the electoral processes. Our serious doubts on the integrity of the election processes citing the card reader fraud, the bogus number of under aged voters in the north, the bloating of your opposition's votes by the deliberate skewed distribution of voters card and other defects must be established and amplified. We must paint to the world, this true picture against the backdrop of an amalgamation of local traitors and their international conspirators.
This reappraisal even if does not reverse the gains of the opposition, will at least accurately mirror our Nation's mood in this present time of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Any further delay of this already belated action by Mr. President’s call against violence will amount to a betrayal of our true feelings, it will be a suppression of the cries of a people who defended the president from the people who saw no good in him even with his very visible and documented achievements. It will also put a legal and permanent seal to the freedom of expression that this presidency represents.

Mr. President, I am still loyal, I have never been so passionate about anything as my support for you. I will always be proud of you and I know history will be very kind to you but i am putting all at risk for you to understand that we too have a right to our own feelings, we have a right to grief, and in our grief, we have a right to scream

Goodluck to you sir! ”
