20th Anniversary:Thisday Newspaper Workers Protest Non Payment Of 9 Months Salary

As it turns 20 today,activities were paralysed yesterday at the Apapa Headquarters of one Nigeria's National Daily,THISDAY NEWSPAPER over accumulated salaries owed its workers by the Chairman of the Paper and President of NPAN Nduka Obiagbena. The workers accused the publisher of owing them salaries of between 5-9 months and have promised to shutdown the publishing house until all their salaries are paid.
The proprietor later came to address the workers promising to pay two months salaries for a start according to information reaching CKN Nigeria.
Thisday Newspaper which derives so much revenue from advertisement is noted for being in the forefront of owing its workers several months salaries.
