A former captain of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo, on Friday endorsed
President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid, saying he is the best for
Nigerian youths.
Yobo spoke with State House correspondents shortly after joining a
group, the PDP Ward 2 Ward Initiative, to pay a visit to Jonathan at the
Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said the President should be given an opportunity to complete “the
good works he started.”
He urged all youths to stand up and be counted among those who will make
Jonathan’s re-election possible.
Yobo said, “I am here to endorse Mr. President for his re-election. He
has done so well for the youth. I stand here as a youth to say that he deserves
a second term to push forward the good work he has started.
“I do believe in the legacy of the transformation agenda, and that is
why this ward-to-ward initiative is building on that legacy. The President has
done so well. The youth now have their own power, they have their own belief
and they should take their rights in their own hands.
