The mother of an Ogun State House of
Assembly member, Remmy Hassan, has been kidnapped by suspected gunmen in the
Omu-Ijebu area of Ogun state.
Speaking over the telephone, Mr. Hassan said his mother
was kidnapped from her home in Omu-Ijebu on Wednesday evening.
“It’s correct, she was kidnapped not
quite long and the police has been notified. Let’s leave it to the police,” Mr.
Hassan a former deputy speaker of the Assembly told our reporter.
It could not be ascertained if rescue
operations had begun as calls placed to the spokesperson of the state police
command were unanswered just as text messages were not responded
