All is now set for the commencement of transmission of a new radio station in Umuahia ,the Abia State capital.
In an exclusive scoop and investigation conducted by CKN Nigeria, the radio station is the brainchild of the son of Abia State Governor, Chinedu Orji and his (T A Orji ) Special Adviser on Media (Electronics) Ugochukwu Emezue.
CKN Nigeria gathered that all the necessary equipment needed for the take off of the radio have arrived the country.
These include transmitters, Outside Broadcast Vans (OB Van) and all other high tech equipment.
A parcel of land in a choice area of the State has also been secured while effort is on top gear to secure the license from National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
The establishment of the radio station is being seen by political opponents as a strategic move by the outgoing Governor to build a means of communication in the State even when he is out of office.
Currently strategy is being perfected by the outgoing governor to make sure he gives his former boss Orji Uzor Kalu a run for his money.
Orji through his various media outfits have been on the attack for some months now rubbishing all T A Orji’s achievements.
T A Orji’s media team seems helpless and uncoordinated in responses to the barrage of attacks especially in social media.
On a daily basis pictures of the rot of infrastructure is the state are posted online making T A Orji look like the most incompetent governor ever to come out of the South East..
All attempts by his camp to right the wrongs seem not to be succeeding.
It is in an attempt to balance opinion that his son Chindeu and his media aide have decided to team up to flag the new radio station.
We cannot ascertain yet if the fund for the establishment of the radio station is from the purse of the State government or from that of Chinedu who has remained the defacto governor of the State since his father took over the helm of Affairs in God’s Own State.

Wether it's his money or the states money, it's situated in Abia, that's the most important thing and in turn is a big plus to the State. Counting the number of radio stations where I am currently in rivers state, there are almost 8 of them. So I don't see anything wrong with this move.
