The Nigeria Leadership Initiative [NLI] will hold the maiden
edition of its Diplomatic Dialogue Series (DDS) at the Metropolitan Club,
Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 8:00am to 10:30am.
The DDS is a monthly breakfast event aimed at
strengthening bilateral relations with other countries and the investment
community from other nations. It is a platform for interaction with the
Ambassadors of foreign representation in Nigeria and a forum for networking for
the purpose of business relationships and catalytic investments. The DDS
creates a sustainable forum for the leaders of corporate Nigeria, public
service leaders, NLI Senior Fellows, Fellows and Associates, senior government
officials, the academia, policy makers and the media to engage, interact and
share ideas with Diplomatic Envoys.
His Excellency, A.R Ghanashyan, Indian High Commissioner to
Nigeria is the Guest Envoy with invited guests comprising critical stakeholders
in the corporate, government, civil society, academic, media and diplomatic
communities in Nigeria
According to Yinka Oyinlola, CEO of NLI, “whatever brings people closer will inherently bridge divides,
foster peace and better understanding and ultimately strengthen human
interaction, growth and productivity”. Speaking
further, Oyinlola remonstrated that the NLI DDS has the capacity to facilitate “new
vistas of opportunities for trade and commerce; foster better bilateral
cooperation and understanding; facilitate prospects for exchange, linkage
programmes and shared learning; provide a credible and sustainable forum for
information sharing between Nigerians and the international community; and create a new platform for cultivating
productive friendships for Nigerian stakeholders.”
The Nigeria
Leadership Initiative (NLI) is a platform for credible, accomplished and
uniquely patriotic Nigerians to develop and express values-based leadership
skills with the aim of assuming a transformative role for the development of
Nigeria. NLI is an international non-profit, non-partisan organization
registered as a charity in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States of
America.
