Headless Body Found At Ilorin Rail Line

Residents of the neighbourhood around the train station in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, were thrown into mourning  Monday when they discovered the headless body of a middle-aged man who must have been crushed by the train.
A check showed that the train was Kano-bound but had a brief stopover in Ilorin
The incident, according to eyewitnesses, occurred at Isaac Mowo Street, opposite the Ilorin office of Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
A visit to the scene of the accident yesterday reveals the headless body of the accident victim, with his severed limbs was still lying on the rail track with hordes of flies swarming on the corpse, which had started decomposing.
The identity of the man was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
However, a source at the station said that the superintendent station officer of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), Ilorin, had been briefed about the incident, with a promise that the corpse would be evacuated soon.
Similarly, a senior official of NRC, who sought anonymity, confirmed the accident, saying: “The management is making effort to evacuate the lifeless body of the man for burial.”
