Many Feared Dead In Another Lagos Boat Mishap

THERE was serious confusion late Wednesday night on the Island of Lagos State, following reports that a commercial boat conveying people from the Island to Ikorodu had capsized.
Many people were feared dead in an incident that became a subject of investigations to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and National Inland Waterways, as well as the marine police.
Spokesperson of NEMA, South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the mishap to the Nigerian Tribune, but stated that the search party was yet to locate the boat as of the time of filing this report.
Farinloye, in a text message stated that “boat capsized between waterways and Ikorodu waterways. Kindly let’s mobilise and save lives.”
