I Have Forgiven Obasanjo..Orji Kalu

Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, on Thursday in Ibadan announced that he has forgiven former President Olusegun Obasanjo of all his past efforts to persecute him.
Baring his mind in Ibadan on Thursday while delivering a lecture entitled “Nigeria: A Nation in Quest of Credible Leadership” under the auspices of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council in commemoration of the centenary celebration of media practice in the country, Dr. Kalu remarked that even though he lost virtually all he had for maintaining a principled position against former President’s Third Term Agenda, he is still around and standing tall in the society.
He insisted that the way out for Nigeria to regain its lost glory lies strictly in obedience to the rule of law and organizing transparent and credible elections.
To this end, he advocated “a strong two-party democracy” for Nigeria just as he called a reform to the country’s electoral process that would give the youths better chances and lead the nation to a better future.
Dr. Kalu lamented the spate of recycling of old politicians on the polity and enjoined the opposition movement to be more vibrant so as to evolve credible leadership in the country “otherwise, the ruling party may become complacent and rest on its oars”.
He declared:  “We need to start shopping for Credible Leadership in various spheres of our nationhood ahead of the 2015 elections.  This is the time to start the search as part of our collective civic duty.  When we keep quiet and cecline, bad men take charge while we remain despondent and hapless until the next polls in 2019!”

  1. Who are you a political failure to forgive a living legend like Obasanjo? You better retract that statement before you are made politically and economically dead.
