Goodluck Jonathan's Daughter Gets 80 Car Gifts At Wedding

Emerging report has it that it was a windfall of a sort at the traditional wedding ceremony of the daughter of President Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa State. It was reported that nothing less than 80 brand cars were given the couple by guests at the event. CKN Nigeria is yet to verify the brand of cars, but a competent source at the wedding said ,they were exotic cars of different brands.. Practically all the Governors that attended presented the couple with a car each. Others were from friends, well wishers and contractors

    2. Pls leave d president out of this, did he ask pple to give his daughter cars? U should know d adage that says' d rich gets richer', this means dat d rich are sorrounded wt rich pple n of cos will hav more opporunities, put urself in her shoes, if ur parents are rich, of cos they'll have rich friends and in d course of U getting married de'll all come n gv u fat gifts. So when u talk or write, think deeply ist. Don't talk cos u hate d guy. Be on a neutral ground. And remember, u don't need to be rich to have a positive impact in someones life, u could also gv little to those in need around U. Have a nice day.

  27. Maybe you might be wondering how President Goodluck Jonathan got this grownup daughter he just gave in marriage to a nice guy.
The truth is, he actually adopted the girl after her father died in a ghastly motor accident.

Today, that poor little girl who was supposed to be an orphan is now the President's daughter. See pictures from her expensive wedding reception carnival here http://is.gd/kQCfF6.

We learn't yesterday that she got over 81 cars as wedding gifts. Now here is a prayer for you; Just like God sent this girl a destiny helper and made her a president's daughter

  32. So many people are talking as if they will reject if the gift is been given to them. There is nothing wrong in getting cars as wedding gift, beside the President never begged his friends to offer cars to his daughter. I don't know why people don't appreciate good thing. When you are happy over another person's progress, you will progress too. Please there is no gain in being jealous and wicked, jealousy means witchcraft. Any one who is jealous is a witch. Rejoice with those who are rejoicing.

  36. I'm really surprised at many who tag the President as being corrupt, evil or anything else! For goodness sake can someone define the word GIFT? You who say Governors ride bicycles, if I were in that country and the Governors daughter wants to get married.... I will buy a GIFT of whatever choice I deem fit! So people that bought plasma TV that cost 3million naira nko? Those that bought kitchen utensils nko? People that even bought plates, bed, sound system etc? Are these not gifts from their own pockets? If I decide to be "outstanding"and by a JET PLANE as a contractor... How does it concern the president or even d couple? As far as I'm not illegitimately doing so u dare not question! Moreover, if the president gave me a contract I got legally n legitimately and I want to show how grateful I am towards his even, is that not my sole personal freewill! All these illiterate but literate so called people that don't understand what corruption is.... Shut that f up!

I would have bought a set of nice glass cups...... Do you know how many more people will do same?
Why in Gods name are we putting corruption etc in what people give as gifts?
When its time to talk about national issues, point in such direction! But for a young lady who was absorbed by a leader and who serves as her destiny helper.... Just align n stop the unnecessary condemnations!
God chose to allow her receive these gifts from people she probably has never encountered with, we r moving up in this nation not downwards! When it gets to your turn make us go higher! Yes we r moving higher even if its slow! Don't compare Nigeria with advanced countries, better still come back from those continents and contribute to development starting from ur family, community n society!

  39. She's innocent in this case. It's not her fault that she happens to b d president's adopted daughter. If some pple see her marriage as an avenue to impress her father, it's not her making. It's her goodluck. If her father were not d president, am sure she wldn't have gotten as much. By d time power shifts, trust me, attention wld shift, everyone wld b swarming around d next 1st family. Let her enjoy her good furtune.

  42. The problem with nigeria is that coruption has blind us to the extent that wat is wrong is now right . No body is blaming the couple but in a civilise country no body will buy cars for the couple rather they will contribute money to there charity the most have open inorder to help the poor. When prince william got married in england did u hear anything about 80 cars or 20 houses no so we nigeria still have a long way to go . Pls people that hasn't travel out of the country should try and do so and see how things work in develop country

  43. Guys if you ask me this issues has both negative and positive side..the presidents daughter is getting married the turn out would be the entire country if need be and the gift will be countless and undefined of various sorts...its not the presidents doing nor the girl so guys leave them alone....more so all those that got cars didn't come together to plan it I believe they will be surprised at each other seeing the other got a car too and this will be as a move to impress and feel rich only to be shocked that the next man came with an even bigger car...that's the negative part...and even more they will not show such big manity in there respective state to compete whose state is cleaner..and well organised...the contractors too that abandon jobs or did their jobs with low grade material to save a fat profit then use it to impress is also the negative part...so guys if any one is to be accused its the givers and that's the ones who know from deep down they failed to have used that money as to what is was meant more by using it to in that way when there are people who would have benefited more from it....to conclude this ..I personally will accepts such gift cos I didn't ask for them. Then again it deepends on what the couple do with it...... am in Dublin and I see corruption here too ..its every where and guy its even in Sweden but that does not mean you not right about..some things you said...when prince William of UK got married did you know what they got as gifts....so its only what is known that can be used against you..

  44. @ kenny there is coruption every were no dout but wat u should understand is in develop country when caught u are in 4 it but in nigeria it is a norm to be corupt . In develop country if u present a car as a gift at thta kind of wedding the start investegating u at once they don't waste time . That why when prince williams was during there wedding the told there guess pls donate to our charity, u will be surpise that the money there will be x10 of all the gift gej daught receive. Let me throw a question in this forum what will u take the gift given to gej daught or the charity donation of prince williams marriage

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes Chris u will be investigated here straight away ..why was this money given to you and how did the person got it until they see it as legit both parties will be investigated..hence I said the donors are to be questioned and the couple are left to do what they think is right with their gifts cos they did not ask for it and they don't own a charity as yet..if the donors are found to not have been able to buy such gifts from their wages then they should be questioned how they got it and justice should prevail. But I don't believe such will happen after all was anyone convicted from oputa Parnell..that's why I said the issues has a positive and negative side...but come to say why did the news not carry or mention the number of blenders...tea set..plates...pots ...coolers that must have been given too ....they won't say such gifts weren't given..
