No representative was available to receive the centenary awards on
behalf of Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti; Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Chief Gani
Fawehinmi and Chinua Achebe.
Wole Soyinka was also absent at the event held in Abuja yesterday despite
the fact that he was nominated under the internationally acclaimed artists,
literary icons and journalists category.
Ransome-Kuti was nominated under the heroes of the struggle for
Nigeria’s independence/pioneer political leaders category for being a Nigerian
teacher, politician and woman activist who pioneered women activism in modern
Nigeria.
Anikulapo-Kuti was nominated under the internationally acclaimed
artists, literary icons and journalists.
Fawehinmi was nominated under the outstanding bravery and public
enterprises.
It shows d whole celebration is nonsense and awards not popular to attract respected people wit intellegrity and achievement over d years,and 4 d fact dat d head which is Jonathan has constitently trample on human rights,loot our treasure massively and witout remorse and most importantly doesn't have feelings 4 human lives in which he went ahead to do d celebration as if Nigerians are in happy mood wen many people is been killed in d northern area especially students and some was abducted,it shows how heartless and irresponsible Jonathan and his government is

All the invitees who have arrived Nigeria before that attack should be sent back. I think your brain is in your anus. More over the apc you are supporting, most of dem have been in power before now what did they achieve for the country or state they ruled.
