Senate Confirms Emefiele As New CBN Governor

The Senate today confirmed the appointment of Mr Godwin Emeifele as the new Governor of Central Bank.
His confirmation came after about two hours drill by the whole House of the Senate.
Mr Emeifele,the current MD of Zenith Bank Plc was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan in February as a replacement of embattled Lamido Sanusi.
His tenure will start in June 2014 after the current tenure of Sanusi must have expired
