Rochas Orders Arrest Of Several Road Contractors In Imo State

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the arrest of some road contractors, alleged to have abandoned projects awarded to them by the state government after collecting mobilisation fees.
This was just as he stated that all projects embarked upon by his administration would be completed before the end of the year.
Okorocha gave the  arrest order yesterday at a town hall meeting with the people of Isu and Njaba local government council areas.
Governor Okorocha said the verification tour of the 27 local councils in the state was to ascertain the level of completion of contracts awarded in each council area and appealed to the people in the area to collaborate with the government to ensure that contractors justify the over N28 billion paid on the construction of rural roads.
