4 College Of Education Students Die In Aiuto Accident

Four students of the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State yesterday lost their lives in a road accident.
The students were said to be on their way to Delta State to attend the funeral of a grandmother of one of their colleagues when the accident occurred at kilometre 12, Benin-Sapele-Warri expressway.
Three of them died at the scene of the accident, while one among the five injured, died at the Benin Central Hospital where they were rushed to for medical attention.
One of the victims, who gave his name as Collins, said they were 14 inside the vehicle including the driver, adding that the bus had a burst tyre which made it to somersault.
Confirming the accident, the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Luka Ikpi attributed it to over- speeding and loss of control.
He said three persons died and that five injured victims were rescued and taken to the hospital
