Amnesty Programme Is 419..Amaechi Is A Hitler..Asari Tells CKN Nigerai Crew (Interview Part 1)

For three months we have been on his trail, the opportunity came last week when we received a message from his media Aide that he was ready for us.

Within hours ,  we were able to make my way to his resident ,a choice area of Abuja.

Several things crossed my mind as we drove through that cool quiet evening to meet Asari.

For a man noted and described a “trouble maker” by many people,what are the questions i need to ask him.In what mood would i found him.

Asari has become of political discussion across the country. His statements are inciting and controversial.

Recently, no less a person than former Head of State,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his famous letter to President Goodluck Jonathan asked him to call Asari to order.

Obasanjo himself is not a stranger to Asari,while in office,he also had one two issues to settle with him.

Some elements in the North are not also founding his statements funny.

Recently, the main opposition Party in Nigeria,the APC also issued a statement that Asari should be called to order.

The National Assembly had at one time or the other also cautioned Asari to moderate his talk and stop making inflammatory statements.

You can see, why Asari has become the topic in Nigerian polity.

In order not to miss my way,Asari’s media aide was at the main entrance to the luxurious Estate to welcome.

We chatted as we drove along and within minutes we were in his house. A space was already made for us to park our car.

Just as we stepped out of the car, i noticed two people sitting by the corner of the main entrance (It was 8pm) to the house.

A close watch showed that it was the man himself , in a deep discussion with a visitor.

He stood full length to welcome me,a sked his media aide to usher us to the sitting room.

The sitting room was a modestly  furnished apartment..Asari obviously does not believe in unnecessary indulgence and affluence.

In the sitting room were about six other people waiting for him.

Asari obviously is not the type that keeps his guest waiting..Within five minutes, he joined me and the interview commenced without any waste of time.

At first meeting, Asari looks like a man that cannot hurt a fly.

His quiet disposition was captivating, but don’t take that for the man, for behind that quiet outlook is an eye made of steel.

 

I was expecting to speak with a semi literate, but from all indications, Asari speaks better than most Phd holders i have met.

On Why He Is Controversial and Why Is Everyone Talking About HIM

Asari Dokubo said,I don’t know my brother.I am not controversial. I have been around for over twenty years. Probably the advent of the social media has brought my issues into the limelight. I have always said my mind in the past. but i guess, the new media has made it easier for people to access information quite easily unlike before. News items are quickly circulated, and people are now better and quicker and better informed.Maybe that’s why people feel i am controversial.

The AMNESTY PROGRAMME

I did not accept the Federal government bribe called Amnesty. We went to court challenging the illegality called Amnesty by Yar'Adua.

The only way to pardon people is after conviction but no one was convicted so how can they now say they are granting us amnesty. To me its a total fraud. Ateke was convicted of any crime for which he is being pardoned. Tompolo has not committed any crime for which he was pardoned. Boyloaf has not committed any crime for which he is being pardoned. So this is a fraud, it cannot stand the test of time. It is total 419.

I had no boys under me turning in arms because ours was Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force,i  volunteered, other people like Lawyers, Doctors etc volunteered too.

I love the Ijaw nation and I want independence for the Ijaw nation and for this I volunteered my life.

When asked if he is still the leader of NDPVF, Asari said the group has several leaders. That they still exist. We normally come out on the 16th of May every year, i ll invite you to the next one to see things for yourself in Port Harcourt.

I ve never believed in the Amnesty programme but the management of the scheme under Timi Alaibe and Kuku has been successful because people have been trained.

It is adding value to the lives of people but why would you criminalize people before adding value to their lives, that's my quarrel with it.

It is the most successful adhoc programme introduced in the history of Nigeria.

Unlike the Operations Feed The Nation Programme of Obj that ended up at his Otta Farm. The implementation has been successful to some extent

 

WHY I HATE NIGERIA WITH PASSION

Asari Dokubo insists he is not a Nigerian but an Ijaw man. According to him, he hates Nigeria passionately. I hate everything about Nigeria, where did Ijaw people sit down to agree to be Nigerians, he asked. Nations are built by consensus, where did the Ijaw people agreed to be joined as Nigerians. Were we conquered?. We even fought before Biafra.I was in Biafra because my father was in Biafra, my grand mother was in Biafra. I may defer from what my grand mother believed about Biafra. Biafra for me was an artificial creation.The mistake was the Biafran leaders did not consult with the other ethnic groups within the region,maybe the mistake would have been corrected later on.The event that threw up Biafra was too much in a haste.But now it has become much easier for us to network amongst our various people. Thats why we are networking with Massob. It's collaboration. We are interfacing with various people so that we can come together and form a Nation we all agree to where every ones views shall be respected.

 

For him, his happiest moment would be the day Nigeria will disintegrate. He believes there is no equity in Nigeria asking why a Northerner should be given license for an oil well in his land where he has nothing at stake. To him, this is the greatest injustice that can befall a people.

What is the meaning of Bayelsa, Abia does it have any connection with the people. Its not done anywhere in the world.

Did we agree to be together. Nigeria for me does not exist and I can't wait to see it disintegrate.

If you hate Nigeria, how come you are holding a Nigerian passport we asked. Nigerian passport to me is a right and not a privilege.

SETTING UP OF BUSINESS IN BENIN REPUBLIC.

He said, he decided to take his businesses to Benin Republic because the Nigerian economic environment is no longer viable and profitable for businesses. He gave example of Dunlop and Michelin tyres that have relocated their businesses to Ghana for example.

That notwithstanding, he said he still have Nigerians running his businesses in Benin Republic. He also talked about his various scholarship schemes that he has used to empower several people within his Ijaw Nation.

I also have a football academy and other viable ventures, where Nigerians are benefiting.

COMPARES AMAECHI WITH ADOLF HITLER

Aasri Dokubo comapred Governor Rotimi Amaeachi with Hitler. Amaechi is like Hitler, he said. He is an ingrate. A man who rose from abject poverty but wants to annexe everything within him. He is like Okonkwo in Things Fall Apart whose gods cracked his kernel but now wants to challenge his god to a context.

He behaves like a bully.

Amaechi is the problem in River State and the only solution is for me to retrace his steps.

Can you imagine my own brother, acting as a driver to a Gambari (Nasir El Rufai).He doesn’t know the implication of what he is doing?

President Goodluck Jonathan has been un-presidential in his handling the Amaechi issue, he opined. Will Amaechi try such nonsense when Olusegun Obasanjo was President of Nigeria.

Asked if Amaechi turns a new leaf, will he volunteer to take him to the President to seek a reconciliation?.

Asari said Amaechi would rather hang himself than do such. He is a very proud person. I told you earlier on that he acts like OKONKWO in Things Fall Apart.

But let them not take Goodluck Jonathan’s quiet nature for granted, for Goodluck is like the BOAR snake that remains at a spot .while its food strays and meet him where he is.

Don’t take the silence of a man for stupidity, wait and see how this will play out.

GOODLUCK JONATHAM MUST BE RETURNED IN 2015

On President Goodluck Jonathans 2015 ambition. Asari Dokubo said it is in Nigerians best interest that Goodluck Jonathan MUST be returned in 2015.

Tell them CKN that i said the consequences of not allowing Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to win will be terible.

Goodluck Jonathan deserves and should be returned back to office in 2015.

Weda dem like am or not,Goodluck must win,weda na through free and fair election o,or through wururu or mago mago,dem must let Jonathan win in 2015.

When told that there is the possibility of the President losing the election just as it has happened in several other countries, Asari was adamant.. He cannot lose CKN, haba,he who pays the piper detects the tune..

They must make him win,i am repeating myself o..His winning is not even negotiable.

You can see that they are singing his praises everywhere now.We have calculated and he will have a landslide victory.

There will be many political graves after the 2015 election; the so called APC will lose many of their States.

Didn’t APC lose in Anambra State even with all their noise?

Go to Imo State there is no single APC member in the House of Assembly, its PDP,APGA.

In Rivers State people will jump out of the sinking ship of APC led by Amaechi.

My brother, Goodluck cannot lose. If he loses,which is impossible ,they are talking about oil theft now, let that happen, the oil will not even flow at all at all again.

When the time comes, Lai Mohammed can issue all the press releases in the world, if they like, let Tinubu issue all sorts of Statements but at the end of it all ,Goodluck will win because it is even in their own interest that he wins.

WHAT HAS GOODLUCK GOT TO SHOW FOR ALL THE YEARS HE HAS BEEN THERE?

Look around you and see all the good works he has been doing. From good roads, railways, airports etc. No former President living or dead had achieved what he has done within these few years.

It takes you less than six hours to make Lagos Warri Port Harcourt because of the good roads.

The Ibadan Ilorin road has been dualized.

The Okene Lokoja Abuja road is almost completed.

The East West road is almost completed.

The Enugu Aba Port Harcourt that was a death trap is now being fixed.

He has opened a trauma centre and Cancer Centre at the National Hospital Abuja without making noise about it.

The power sector is being revised with several megawatts of electricity being added to the national grid

A lot has been achieved that the Buhari’s the IBB’s the Obasanjos with all the resources available to them could not achieve but Goodluck Jonathan , the silent achiever has done all that.

WHY ARE YOUR KINSMEN (NIGER DELTA) HOLDING US TO RANSOM BECAUSE OF OIL

When told that his kinsmen from the Niger Delta are holding the rest of Nigeria to ransom because of the oil within their region and the fact that oil will dry up one day.

Asari said until then but for now,the will continue to savor God’s natural gift to his people. Why will we not hold you to ransom he asked,when some people said power belonged to only them.

Shagari handed over to Buhari,Buhari handed over to IBB,IBB handed over to Abacha,Abdulsalam took over from Abacha.

Where they not holding us to ransom then?.When they told us ,it was their birth right. When a man will come from Maiduguri to Buguma in my State with a piece of paper that the oil in Buguma has been given to him from Abuja.

Can you imagine such nonsense? Did they take me into consideration? As you make your bed so shall you lie on it.

For a long time, the Clarkes, the Okilos, the Graham Douglas tolerated them and looked at them as untouchables but now things have changed my brother. Things have changed.
