No Past Nigerian Leader Deserves To Be Compared With Mandela..Goodluck

President Goodluck Jonathan said past Nigerian leaders cannot be compared to the late former South African leader, Nelson Mandela, saying it was on record that they ruled repressively during their regimes.

He also described Nigerian politicians who threaten, boast and play little gods by virtue of their position as tiny men, a character trait he said is contrary to the exemplary leadership Mr. Mandela exhibited and lived for.

Speaking at a memorial service in honour of late Mandela at the Aso Rock Chapel in Abuja on Sunday, Mr. Jonathan said contrary to Mr. Mandela who was filled with humility, forgiving spirit and the ability to unite and reunite people, past Nigerian rulers played repressive roles during their reigns.

  1. Mr. President, life is about contributions not consumption, some of the past leaders in Nigeria contributed greatly for the realise of mandela the history is there for you verify. Try and contribute to development of Nigeria and mankind after leaving office people will evaluate your work either you like it or not. Yes people will push you here and there for there own selfish interest but remember that the decision for your future's greatness lies within you. Leave other leaders for now an face your own. It is well

  7. Good luck johnathan is a lucky president, I feel God's favour and blessing on his life is unlimited but what I don't like is for him to try and contest another political office again in 2015. Looking at all the offices he has held I wonder why u still want to contest, he has stolen money, failed to declare his public account or assest and yet still believes he his helping Nigerians. The opposition is against him very strongly now bcu s of hm they now merger to form APC, bcus of him there is cracks in his party. Even Asari Dokubo said that d president has performed badly. We elected him to do his job but I can bodly say that he his working hard but he can do much better in the area f oil theft, protection of lives nd properties, affordables health care system, schools, constant light and better roads. That all what Nigerians want and I want us to judge him on his electoral campaign promises. He has failed in my own opinion. His ministers are the real thief infact and yet he his taking about 2015. I pity the man bcus a revolution will happen if fail to deliver his campaign promises and he still wants to contest again
