The question was,how would you react to President Goodluck Jonathan's presence at Mandela's Funeral service, where Nigeria was not given the recognition it deserved.

  • Mcdonald Azuju GEJ JUST GO ENJOY HIMSELF JOOR!
  • Adaku Ibeh Awurumibe I did not oooooo. Shoe dey get size ooooo.
  • Deji McWord He certainly wasn't there.
  • Oke Emeritus Richard Which VIP? I even learnt that his name was not among the dignitaries to deliver memorial speech at Mandela's burial but the name of Namibia president was among, imagine, despite Nigeria's efforts and travail which helped to decolonize South Africa.
  • Oluchi Gift Nop....I didn't notice him 2 but I noticed CKN Nigeria. Funny question!
  • Livy Ikwuako Okeke I saw him but he was not heard. Not all the 90 + world leaders and representatives that attended Madiba's memorial delivered memorial speech hence, our own GEJ is among the list of unheard leaders. If they all are to deliver memorial speech, by now we should still be LIVE in Soweto. Of Madiba's 18 or 19 grand and great grand children, 3 made speech for the lot. Moreover, someone made a speech on-behalf of the African Union.
  • Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu Nigeria the giant of Africa is led by a Lilliputian lacking in charisma , self confidence, with an oversize inferiority complex. How did we get to this stage. This too shall pass..

  • Ckn Nigeria Egbon Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu ordinarily,Nigeria deserved a spot on that podium..All the countries that spoke put together couldn't match what Nigeria contributed to the liberation of South Africa in both material and human resources..Obj would have spoken on that stage, that i know for sure

  • Sola Fanawopo Are we not ascribing to ourselves what we are not? Does the World really want to listen to a country who could not provide basic amenities for his people? What do we really have to tell the africa and the World?

  • 'Niyi Fatogbe Taiye Shittu Dahunsi, you have said it well. The whole show we saw today wasn't about GEJ, it was a well orchestrated plan to make Nigeria irrelevant in the league of nations. What we fail to realize is that countries just like people only hover around success, we as a nation need to look inwards and see if indeed we deserved to be given any recognition on the world stage. Especially with the corruption and other vises that our citizens have come to be masters at, South Africa has been in serious contention with Nigeria for decades. The competition is even fiercer now that Nigeria's economic ratings has improved in the last few years due to the current government's economic policies, there is a systemic shift of investors to Nigeria and SA sees it clearly. We all need to look inwards and start doing the right things as a new day is just round the corner, Nigeria will soon be the new bride of the world.

  • Dr-Okey Viewpoints Jonathan is not a loud or proud person. Am not sure if giving him a front row would ve made a difference in his accomplished life. I would not rate him based on where he sits at Mandela's funeral cos he has had much dealings with him as a leader. Lets be just. He didnt even need to go

  1. Most people here have spoken very well, if GEJ wasn't recognized, it's not about him. It's about Nigeria, they kill our people there and call it zenophobia. But I'm happy that Nigerians were there for them during their difficult times. There's nothing really special anyway, whether or not our president wasn't allowed to speak, it's politics. I know we've not had a perfect democracy but it's certainly better than what they have in Cuba so what are they talking about? Remember it was Fidel and now Raul Castrol, next could be Edwardo Castro. Zuma himself was booed by his own people so what's special? The big question is, can they continue with the Mandela legacy ?
