Al l is now set for Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko
to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).This was made evident yesterday when
the stalwarts of the Party stormed the seat of the caliphate where they were
given rousing welcome by the governor and his top aides. The entourage led the
the Chairman of the Party,Bisi Akande also had in attendance Gen Muhammadu
Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The entourage was also guests at the opening of the
newly constructed Sokoto State University.
They also paid a courtesy call on the Sultan of Sokoto.
Governor Wammako,a strong member of the nPDP has been
in a running battle with the Bamanga Tukur led PDP over the Party structiure in
the State which presently is in the firm grip of the former governor of the
State,Attahiru Bafarawa.
The APC assured the Governor that they were ready to
accept him into their folds. From all indications,Governor Wamakko’s defection
is now a matter of days and weeks.

Wonder why it took him so long to decide. Since he has been deceiving himself that Sokoto is his personal property, let him move fast but should not forget in a hurry what happen to Bafarawa.
