Esse Agesse Speaks On Her Pet Project "Women Of Love"

Former Nigerian music star ,Esse Agesse speaks on her pet project :Women Of Love:

Women of Love (WOL) is an association that seeks to improve and empower the quality of life for Women in Ireland, Nigeria and the world, especially Migrant Women far away from their father land. WOMEN OF LOVE was conceptualized by vintage Esse Agesse of the Niger Delta extraction based in Ireland, a Motivational Speaker, Gospel Singer and Trainer. A lady who contributed her quota immensely to her country of origin through music and the Arts,Lady Esse Agesse is working with women from other professions to raise the bar of the programme. It is a platform where distinguished female personalities share moments with women and where women achievers are celebrated.

We want to use the WoL platform to encourage both Irish and migrant women, to explore their inner abilities especially when they are gifted but have had no platform to express these gifts.

Last year we raised funds for breast cancer where we had different women from different backgrounds share their musical gifts. We had an African female drummer (gangan drummer), we had an Irish female singer and a group of female choir perform to raise funds for our chosen charity.

The reigning Miss Nigeria Ireland during that period, Miss Ewoma Ogoro, gave a motivational speech about the early detection of breast cancer, where she encouraged African women unlike their Irish counterparts, to take the issue seriously as most of the time the African woman does not know that they have this deadly disease until it has taken over, she gave simple examples of how women can personally check themselves and the best time in one’s life to go for mammogram checks.

This year we want to focus on supporting Women and Children, especially, the Girl Child. This will be our focus for the next coming years. Working with our chosen charity organisations and raising funds for them. We will be supporting Girl Child Network Worldwide founded by the Iconic Betty Makoni from Zimbabwe.

WHY GIRLS?
The Girl Child Network Worldwide believes the average African Girl should be empowered and Educated because in the region and in some other parts of the world, Girls are denied basic rights, just because they are girls. We at Women of Love key into helping the ‘girl child’ hence our support of the organisation and the seminar/fundraising event which we are organising.

The event organised by WOL will take place on the 13th of July. It will be a two part event; in the Morning there will be a seminar and the theme for the Seminar is, Educate A Girl, Secure the Future. The main Speaker for the Seminar is Betty Makoni, the founder of Girl Child Network. A global award winning writer and Motivational Speaker.

Also speaking on the 13th of July is Sinn Fein's Representative in Mallow, Melisa Mullane, a woman of vision. Melisa is very passionate about the family unit, she is an advocate of women being in Politics. Melisa, who is based in Mallow, Co. Cork, Ireland,  will be touching on the topic The strength of womanhood as a measure to Nation building...

In the Late evening we will be holding a fundraiser to support the Girl Child Network Worldwide. There will be musical and dance performances in the evening to entertain everyone. To crown the evening, there will be recognition awards given to Men and Women who have contributed to women empowerment and education of the Girl Child. Chief among the recipients is His Excellency the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Nigeria, who has contributed in no small measure to making available funding for the Education of the Girl Child in Nigeria.

We have so much lined up for the day..... the seminar tagged ‘Educate A Girl’ Secure The Future’ is a must attend for all women in the Cork region and a must attend for women from all works of life in the Republic of Ireland.
