David Cameron's Crocodile Tears Over Nigeria's Same Sex Marriage Law (CKN Opinion)

In the beginning God created Adam and based on the need for him to have a companion created a helper and partner in Eve.

The symbolic relationship between a man and woman has existed since creation.

God found it necessary and convenient to create a partner for a man. Obviously if he wanted a work mate, he would have created a fellow man to compliment Adam.

Over the years, man has evolved in culture and affluence .Knowledge has increased based on the word of God which said that man will have dominion over all his creators.

In the light of this, it will also be recalled that based on Biblical teachings, one of the reasons God destroyed the first World with flood was because of homosexualism.

Modernization has come with its own problems. Some Scientists have even gone further to say that God does not exist but that will be a discuss for another day).

Back to my main topic today, as must have been seen from my intro, my main discuss today is on same Sex Marriage which is generating a lot of controversies in the world.
It has been accepted in some part of the Western World like the United Kingdom, Europe and America.

Infact crisis is still brewing in France since the passage of the same sex marriage law recently.

Russia last week vehemently stated that it will not tolerate or permit same sex marriage within its domain.

No single country in Africa as at today to the best of my knowledge has passed the same sex marriage law (I am not too sure of South Africa yet).

Same sex marriage is a taboo in Middle East and all Islamic countries..The punishment is instant death.

Recently, Nigeria due to its cultural and religious inclination has passed the anti same sex marriage law.

This was passed by the two chambers of the National Assembly. The law carries a 14 years jail term with no option of fine if caught in the act.

The law is still awaiting the signature of President Goodluck Jonathan who like over 99% Nigerians are against the practice.

The Senate President David Mark in a recent interview said there is no going back on the law which according to him is to preserve Nigeria’s cultural and moral image.

It is on this premise that it beats my imagination why the British Prime Minister David Cameron should be up in arms against Nigeria on the passage of the law.

David Cameron who at several foray has consistently rebuked Nigeria for passing the law said his country will withhold all aids to Nigeria if the law is not rescinded.

And just recently in an interview on BBC, he has this to say.

“With countries like Nigeria, where we have a very good relationship, a very strong relationship, nothing should be off the table”, the prime minister said.
“So when we meet with Nigerian politicians and Nigerian leaders, we should be very clear about those things that we agree about and very clear where we disagree.”
Mr Cameron said the UK has a “very good record on equal rights for lesbian and gay people”, adding: “we believe that’s right for every country in the world.”
“The matter of your sexuality is something that shouldn’t be a disadvantage to you [just as] your religion, or your race, or the way you should choose your life “
“We will have to have some conversations with them, as I said nothing is off the table and we should have these conversations, but we also have some very important objectives with the Nigerians for instance to deal with the appalling rates of poverty in the north of Nigeria which [is] part of a problem that affects not just Nigeria but the rest of the world.”
The PM added: “But as I said, nothing [is] off the table; always prepared to have these conversations, and my view very strongly is that we should have proper equality for lesbian and gay people and that should apply everywhere in the world.”

I believe Mr. Cameron should be told in very clear terms that Nigeria is a sovereign country and not a stooge of the United Kingdom.

Just as Nigeria has no right to tell Mr Cameroon and the People of Britain how to live their lives, he in turn should not tell us how to live ours.

Let me also ask why Mr. David Cameron has not encouraged British people to take to polygamy as we have in Nigeria nay Africa. Why is the British law against a man marrying more than one wife at a time still in force?

British Prime Minister should be told that Nigeria does not need any aid from anyone.

If not for the selfishness of our leaders, Nigeria should be the one giving out aids to most countries of the world due to our abundant resources.

The decision to ban same sex marriage was the collective will of Nigerians and until they say otherwise, we don’t need any foreigner to tell us how to live our lives.

And would it be so bad if the law was reduced or even removed? We are all people no matter our sexual orientation. Stop being ignorant!

  25. It sounds so stupid and immature to say that you going to stop the aid to Nigeria because we are against same-sex marriage. You must have a strong interest in gayism to be in support of it Cameron and don't make us think you can decide for us.Colonial rule is over long time please.

  26. God bless you by brother. Who is Mr Cameron to tell us what to do in Nigeria? Is he God? Let him prove it to me by creating a life. Aids my foot, Mr Cameron go jump in river thames or kiss the electric for all I care. We don't know you ok,so stop making yourself important. Never you try that rubbish of interferring in our affairs again. OmG! Haven't you heard of Sodom and Gomorrha, go read your Bible again if you haven't before. Believe whatever you like but for us here we believe in God and He reigns supreme,we fear Him and not man. He has sustained us, kept us from tearing apart and He will continue to be faithful to us. So back off Mr Cameron we don't need your aid.

  28. May God Almighty punish this Devil! May his generation not see the light of righteousness! How the heck! Is he aware he is directly calling for destabilisation of a sovereign nation? If our leaders know what is best they should uphold the mind of Nigerians regarding the issue of same sex. Else, the uprising that will follow might be worse than anyone would imagine.

  29. Cameron!! It will not work for you in JESUS NAME AMEN!!

  30. I cannot but agree with you more!

It is a satanic agenda and Cameron is clearly a stooge of the devil himself! I know my comments would seem OTT but why is it so important that this unnatural way of life must be forcibly imposed by law on the majority of citizens of the world!?

There are many questions that come to mind but what would be the logical effect of the enforcement of this law on the 'victimised' society? Why is Nigeria 'suddenly' so important to this er...'crusade'?

If this was a UK site, this page would be plastered with pro-sodomite, anti-God comments. They will get theirs soon enough. Stay strong brothers.
