At about 4p30pm Nigerian time yesterday we received a
call from Paris. The caller introduced herself as one of the top editors at AFP
(the Agence France-Presse)
world largest newswire network).They have been going through our report on the
plane crash that happened in Nigeria (Dana Air)..Based on the analysis of what
they have seen and read, they were convinced that we had the most credible and
authenticated pictures of the crash and would want our permission to use the
pictures across all news networks across the globe.
To authenticate their desire and put a face to the
person speaking, we requested they do us an email on their request...Within minutes,
the email came in.One thing led to the other and promptly we agreed to send in
the pictures...
In all, nine pictures were sent to AFP by us out which
they 5 were used,a record..
Within minutes, the pictures became the authentic
photos used by the media internationally and locally including the likes of
BBC,Fox News,AFP,Telegraphs,Daily trust ,Kuwaiti News network,Zambia,South
Africa,USA,Leadership Newspaper,The Nation and several blogs across the world..(See some enclosed
