Nigerians React On The Outburst By Gen Buhari On 2015 Election And Violence Threat On CKN FB

Why is it that Gen Muhammadu Buhari does not think positive about Nigeria.A country he wants to rule..His recent statement that Nigeria will burn if the 2015 election is rigged smirked of mischief and a pessimist attitude for a statesman of his calibre..Why is our revered General always heating up the polity..Without any iota of doubt, his statement during and after the last general election led to several loss of lives and the current insurgence around the Northern part of the country..Please what kind of a Statesman is Gen Muhammadu Buhari Rtd?..CKN

    • Charles Onwuli Very unfortunate, let us join hands together to stop this series of bloodbath. I do not support rigging in anyway but Gen Buhari should be called to order and if possible bared from politics using the instruments of the law.

He said if what happend in 2011 repeat itself the country may witness bloodlets. But to be sincere, this attitude of gej will nt b acceptd in this country. People are being bombed out of existence daily, we are told that d reasons are related to non compliance with tennets of democracy in d parties and govt. Pls let's hold ourselvesresponsible 4 whatever happens in 2015. If we fail to organise free and fair election in 2015

    • Roy Bernard Frustration it is said can have a forcefull pull on human than the manifestation of high fever in man. People are bombed because some exist to supply bombs and equally finance them. Unless you are ruled by His Spirit man has never, in history, done the right thing. It will be out of place for that reason that has existed with man to annihilate the human race just because election was rigged. George Bush Jnr rigged election to rule America. Putin rigged the just concluded election in Rusian this is so because man is self preserving and selfish.
Even beyond 2015 free and fair election only exist in our mental mind but never exist anywhere in the world, truth be told!

    • Fidelis Ejimofor Enwemeka Gen. Buhari is a man of his words. Some time ago, he vowed to make the country ungovernable for GEJ and he has kept his promises. Now, he has told us what will happen in three years' time if elections are rigged at that time. The country dismissed his first notable threat. The second threat is by no means more ominous than the first. Should the country ignore him again? Well the General appears to be a persona non grata and should be treated as such.
5 hours ago via mobile ·

    • Babat Dele Rigging should be outlawed and riggers should be routed out of Nigeria. I think the General was all about free and fair elections.

    • Emini Azaino Well, i won't hold brief for Buhari, he sure can do so by himself.....however, he was only stating the obvious and we have chosen to sensationalize it!
The current regime has pushed people to the brink by its actions and inactions. If they are rigged back into power and Nigerians who are fed up rise up to say NO, then, we'd all cry blue murder and claim it's Buhari. With all the planned hike in PHCN tarriffs and hints of another fuel price hike, we'd be playing the ostrich if we assume that the forever docile Nigerians will continue to siddon look esp. in the face of blatant fuel subsidy scams and squandermania going on. We have 2 options.: Either be prepared or be afraid! It's definitely a keg of gun-powder situation. God help us.

    • Okey Asuzu
Chris, I think it's time you shut your trap on Buhari!

It's actually sentiments such as you've manifested here that's sucked up and stymmied Nigerian potential and destiny.

You have a tragic mindset of Nigerian establishment which's at the heart and root of Nigeria's backwardness, and for a potential future Nigeria, that's even more tragic!

What in pete's sake's wrong with Buhari's speech, made in Kaduna yesterday to throng of party supporters who beseeched him and clamored for his participation in 2015?

I mean, are you not 'tired' of rigged elections and the impunity with which ousted ruling party state governors are being 'elected back' voted in by Nigerians or not?

Who'd vote in a court invalidated state governor mired in corruption and misgovernance unless an entrenched interested party?

So what'd be wrong or unstatesmanlike of a someone, so deeply riled and disturbed at this brazen criminality and imposition to demand a drastic redress through mass action?

Why are you afraid of mass action, even a revolution in Nigeria?

Is your Nigerian stake higher than Buhari's or even my humble self as a political writer with record of Nigeria nationalism abroad?

Nigeria, at the moment's a rudderless ship, without a captain: an all-system-go, and in free-for-all, and worth nothing at international fora and gatherings, no thanks to this crop of libertine, licentious ruling political elites, only united in the party to completely plunder and decimate Nigeria, which in fact, they've achieved!

When Nigeria can no longer meet her obligations: unable to share federal allocations and pay salaries across the states; pay NYSC corp members and source funds to import petrol it's got no business doing, from Niger Republic, that's when to say 'no mas' Chris, if you've got any national pride left in you!

And if and when this Nigeria waddles through to 2015, and we have these band of kleptocrats and deadwoods shoved back into our throats, you think some of us would 'siddon-look' and do nothing?

How much's a nation worth without general comfort, care and respect from her leaders?

What's a nation without her peoples; without genuine and credible leadership; without transparency and accountability of the leadership?

How much is Nigeria worth when citizens are denied their franchise like the Nigerian diasporans?

How much is it worth when our votes don't count in general, and our rights trampled with impunity, with state officials with the mentality of the Master, rather than the BLOODY servants they actually are?

How much's your Nigeria worth Chris when you can't even enjoy your hardwork when it pays, in failed public utilities, and unsafe and harzadous environment, and you practically gotta provide every single one of them to luxuriate?

Indeed, how much is the NIGERIAN IDENTITY worth abroad among comity of civilized world?

Instead of bracing down for a truce like every true Nigerian patriots I come in contact with, you elect to count beans getting smug acting the ultra-conservative Nigerian!

You must be sorry for yourself mate:

What's there really positive about Nigeria including the present entity to CONSERVE Chris?

This is one absurdity too many from you, and on this one, you really blew my mind!

But I console myself that regardless, this is still a 'democracy' to some of us, and therefore, you must be entitled to your views, if tragic and establishmentarian, but hopeful Nigeria would eventually be sorted so voices like yours are shut-out from the mainstream!

    • Roy Bernard General comfort has never come to man through so called free and fair elections but through love. If there is love you will never cheat your neighbor. General comfort we would observe had evaded even the Americans who has taken their past glory for granted. Why must we kill because election is not free and fair. Election is of the mind; some kingdoms has existed without elections and there general comfort is guaranteed!

Going by their records, i will rather have Buhari in office. Nigerians will never forget the good works that Buhari/Idiagbo Administration put in the country. Leave sentiment alone.

Abeg gv me Buhari any day!

    • Oke Emeritus Richard Even if there is someone like Buhari telling d truth at dis moment,we quite appreciate his opinion,bt d question is,is he nt part of d problem we're facing today. The truth is let Buhari and d likes go and rest and let a neutral person take charge.

    • Femi Sowoolu What kind of statesman, you ask? One who says the truth! The sooner we all face the facts, the better it will be for Nigeria, Chris!

    • Chibueze Charles Ihejirika ‎@ CKN, so the oil subsidy cabal who have been dishing out all sorts of threats against the House of reps for indicting them and PDP who have employed all sorts of strategies to sopress the findings of the panel against some of their key members are not heating up the polity abi? The public statement of the NSA that PDP is responsible for the Boko Haram security problem in the north did not mean anything to us? Now it is the warning of Gen Buhari that if the corrupt thieves do not mend their ways, the country will experience worse blood shed that is capable of heating up the polity. Now it is getting clearer that even the enlightened Nigerians have lost bearing of what our real problems are. If someone or some people should not warn these rouges that means we have helplessly succumbed to the huge social injustice that is bedeviling our dear nation.
