Lopez on Wednesday's
There will be no reconciliation
between Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony — he has filed for divorce — but the
"American Idol" judge doesn't appear to be taking the news too hard.
Just hours after the story broke that they're legally ending their marriage, Lopez
made her entrance on the set of the FOX reality show looking hotter than ever.
Wearing a curve-hugging black
bondage dress, Lopez turned heads as she took her seat at the judges' table
last night. Also speaking volumes? The "love" necklace she was wearing.
Throughout the show she appeared completely normal and unruffled. In fact, had
her divorce not made headlines earlier, there would be no indication there was
any drama in her life.
As the old saying goes,
"Looking good is the best revenge."
It was announced on Wednesday
evening that, nine months after they separated, Anthony, 43, had filed for
divorce from Lopez, 42, in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday. He cited
"irreconcilable differences" as the reason for terminating the
marriage and asked for joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old
twins, Max and Emme. This was his second marriage and her third.
While the papers list the twosome's
separation date as "to be determined," they publicly announced their
breakup, after seven years of marriage, last July — less than two months after
they shared the stage — and a steamy kiss — during the "Idol" finale.
At the time, People reported the split
was initiated after "months of nonstop arguing," which made the
couple realize it was "best to go their separate ways for the sake of
their two kids." A source told the mag: "She is, of course, sad that
she and Marc didn't work out, but they both feel they have tried
everything."
Although they ended their marriage,
Anthony and Lopez went ahead with their planned talent show, "Q'Viva!
The Chosen!," which debuted in January. There has been visible tension
between them on the series and in a preview clip for Saturday's season finale
Anthony drops the f-bomb during one of their squabbles. Despite their
bickering, they are expected to perform a live duet during the "Q'Viva!"
stage debut at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on May 26.
They may still be working together,
but Anthony and Lopez have moved on romantically. She was linked to the much
younger backup dancer Casper Smart, 25, last November. Over Thanksgiving, he
was photographed with Lopez and her children in Hawaii, which caused Anthony to
"hit the roof," Us Weekly reported at the
time. Since then they've been attached at the hip — and Lopez just surprised
Smart with a customized truck for his birthday. "He's adorable," she
told Vogue of her new beau.
"But you already see that. He really is [sweet]. He's a good egg. I don't
want to talk about it too much. It's my private thing."
As for Anthony, he's found new love
as well. In January, he went public with his new girlfriend, Shannon De Lima.
After posting a photo on Facebook of him kissing the Venezuelan model, he took
to Twitter to declare his affection for her, writing: "To @Shadelima, my
statue of liberty. Kisses baby." In March she accompanied him to ASCAP
Founders Awards.
Lopez and Anthony married in a
surprise wedding at her Beverly Hills mansion in 2004 — just five days after he
was granted a divorce from first wife Dayanara Torres and six months after she
and Ben Affleck ended their engagement. They had previously dated in 1999.
