2 HARLOTS ARRESTED FOR STABBING CUSTOMER TO DEATH OVER N3,000 :SERVICE CHARGE"

For refusing to pay after service, a middle-age man, Mr. Adeyinka Olayinka, has been stabbed to death allegedly by two women, believed to be prostitutes. The suspects, Kudirat Raji aka Angela and Esther Basiru, were said to have killed the victim on Tuesday at a hotel at Ifo in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The incident followed a disagreement between one of the sex workers and Olayinka over N3,000 “service charge”. The victim, a construction supervisor, was said to have offered N1,000 instead of the agreed N3,000. It was learnt that the deceased was supervising a building construction work when he decided to pass the night in the area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said the sex workers had been arrested. Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, added that the victim was stabbed with a broken bottle on the armpit. The PPRO said one of his nerves was cut, consequent upon which he bled to death.

He said: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim contracted Kudirat Raji to pass the night with him on an agreed amount, but the deceased reneged on their agreement which led to hot argument between them.

“While the argument was going on, Esther Basiru, who is a friend to Angela, broke a bottle and injured the deceased’s friend who was at the scene while Angela used the broken part of the bottle to stab the deceased on the armpit thereby cut one of his nerves, consequent upon which he bled to death.” Oyeyemi explained that the manager of the hotel quickly alerted the police.

He said: “The DPO, Ifo Division, CSP Anthony Haruna, led his men to the scene and promptly arrested the two suspects.” The PPRO said the Police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, had already ordered the transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for discrete investigation and possible prosecution of the suspects.
