OGUN STATE POLICE COMMAND RESTRICTS OKADA MOVEMENTS


In view of the approaching yuletide season and likely upsurge of criminal activities during the festive period, the Ogun State Police Command has placed a restriction order on operation of commercial motorcycle popularly known as Okada between the hours of 8pm to 5am.

Henceforth, no Okada operator is permitted to carry/convey more than one passenger during operation all over the State. This order on motorcycles has been in place in the state and will be strictly enforced.

The Command therefore warns that anyone who violates this order will be arrested, his motorcycle will be impounded and subsequently charged to court accordingly.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu PSC+ hereby appeal to the general public for understanding and co-operation in this regard and also assure the good people of Ogun State of adequate security of life and properties before, during and after the yuletide season.
