The attention of Integrity Youth Alliance has been drawn to the recent
Publication in Mail Express Online
dated 17th of November, 2016 titled “How Jimoh Ibrahim Got N5Billion
Insurance Deal To Fund Campaign”
As concerned future
leaders of Nigeria and stakeholders in Ondo State, the Integrity Youth Alliance is
hereby calling on the Nigeria Police to come out with the full details of the
Insurance deal with Jimoh Ibrahim’s NICON Insurance.
We want to know if
due process was followed in award of the contract considering that fact that
NICON Insurance is almost running down and the owner is a well know debtor in
all his businesses.
We also want the Nigeria Police to let Nigerians know
why Jimoh Ibrahim had more security details than even the sitting Governor of
Ondo State because we have heard him saying he has the country security in is
palm.
Why will Jimoh Ibrahim be given the N5Billion Group
Life, Group Assets and Group Personal Accident Insurance deals if not that the
Presidency through the Inspector General of Police just used the Insurance deal
to channel fund to Jimoh Ibrahim to fund his Governorship election.
To show that the Inspector General of Police is serious
about the deal, he has instructed the FBN Insurance under the leadership of one
Mr. Lucas A. Durojaiye not to give other underwriters and brokers’ letter of
offer as that will expose the deal with Jimoh Ibrahim.
We have it on record that the Presidency had to tie the
N5Billion campaign fund to the Police Insurance Scheme so as to drive away
suspicion from the public and insiders from the Nigeria Police.
No wonder Jimoh Ibrahim was boosting that he will win
the election. This is a man who has not paid his workers for years, but
spending even beyond what was stipulated by the Electoral Act.
The same Jimoh Ibrahim that accused INEC of demanding
$1million bribe from him is now the eyes of INEC in Ondo State. Does that mean
that Jimoh Ibrahim has actually given them the$1million?
We therefore called on the Nigeria Police to furnish
Nigerians with the details of the Insurance deal done with Jimoh Ibrahim’s
NICON Insurance.
Also, Jimoh Ibrahim should tell Nigerians how he came
about the campaign funds as it is on record that he has not done any fund
raising to date
