The pupils – Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi – Vice Principal, Junior School, AO Oyesola and English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde, who were kidnapped at about 8am at the school premises were released around 10:30pm, it was learnt last night.

The kidnappers initially demanded N120 million, reviewed the amount to N3.5m on Sunday and yesterday gave a 24 hour deadline for the payment of the ransom.

Mr. Oluwafemi Adebisi, an elated father of one of the victims, confirmed that his son was back home and in good health.

“I thank God for everything. My son has been released to us. He is in good health. God is wonderful,” he said.

It was learnt that a ransom of N1m each was paid before the pupils were finally released.

A police source who hinted on the release of the victims, said no arrest had been made neither did he confirm the payment of the ransom as demanded by the kidnappers.
