FORMER NIGER STATE GOVERNOR (ALIYU BABANGIDA ALIYU) LOSES TWO BROTHERS IN 2 WEEKS



Former Niger State governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, has lost two of his elder brothers within two weeks, with the death of  Mallam Umar Abubakar Maikano on Sunday evening.

A statement from the family stated that Mallam Umar died  at the age of  78  as a result of complication from the partial stroke he has being  managing .

The statement  revealed that he was the eldest member of the Mu’azu family, hence his death a great loss to the  family.

It  noted that  “Alhaji Maikano was a very lucky  person. Allah has deemed it fit to take him on Arafat Day. The day is so special that we know Allah will grant him mercy and Aljana Firdaus.”

The  deceased was the Fakacin Minna in Minna Emirate council with vast experience as a retired judge who adjudicated for the emirate.

It will be recalled that the former governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu  lost an elder brother, Alhaji Usman Aliyu Zinda early hours of September 1st , 2016  after a  brief illness at an Abuja hospital.

The late Alhaji Aliyu was 67 years old and worked with the Nigerian Television Authority.
