KIDNAPPED HOUSE OF REPS MEMBER RELEASED AFTER PAYING N10M RANSOM

The House of Representatives member from Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency, Sani Bello, who was kidnapped two days ago has regained freedom after paying N10 million ransom.

Bello who was picked up around Gobirawa village of Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State, by his abductors had earlier demanded for the said amount as condition for his release.

Katsina state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Shittu Shittu, who confirmed the development, said no sooner had the money been taken to the abductors than the member was released.

“The abductors asked that the member’s driver should take the money to a designated place and just between 15 and 20 minutes later, Bello was released,” he said.
