SEX PROBE OF MEMBERS:HOUSE OF REPS DIFFERS HEARING TO JULY 20TH

The three accused lawmakers

The meeting between two House of Representatives committees and the former United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, over the allegations of sexual misconduct against lawmakers was yesterday shifted to July 20
.
Entwistle was expected to appear alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, but both were not present at the session, hence the postponement.

The meeting was earlier slated for last Monday, but it was postponed till yesterday.

However, at the commencement of the session, the chairman of the Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Ossai Nicholas Ossai (PDP, Delta) read a letter from Onyeama.

He said the minister was currently attending an African Union Summit in Kigali, Rwanda and would not be back until July 19. The minister said in the letter that he would be available any date thereafter.
