PETROL SCARCITY LOOMS AS PENGASSAN BEGINS STRIKE TODAY


The umbrella union of senior oil workes,PENGASSAN will begin an indefinite strike from today just as the Minister of Labour and Employment Sen. Chris Ngige and  his  Petroleum Resources counterpart  Ibe Kachikwu will today hold a crucial meeting with the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and Nigeria Union of Petroleum & Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) to find  a lasting solution to the lingering problems in the oil and gas sector.

The workers served the government a notice to embark on strike few days back if its demands were not met

  But in a statement pushed out yesterday by Samuel Olowookere Deputy Director (Press) in the ministry.

 The scheduled meeting will to hold  at the  Ministry of Petroleum Resources in Abuja
