Protesters, who are indigenes of Ogbara, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, yesterday took over the Warri/Benin expressway, calling for the immediate evacuation of the Nigerian Navy form the ancient town.

The protesters said the navy must vacate the expanse of land allegedly acquired by the force, saying they wanted back their inheritance.

The entire Ogbara junction was blocked as vehicles coming from and to Benin and Warri could not continue their journey immediately as the protesters stationed themselves at the junction.

Stern-looking mobile policemen were seen manning strategic areas to avert a breakdown of law and order.
