The Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police (CP) Alkali said the Command has develop an operation
order that will effectively cover the security arrangement at all Eid praying
grounds to forestall any security breach, during the forthcoming Eid-fitr
celebration.
He said the arrangement also covers
recreational centers which will be a beehive of activities, noting that Area
Commanders and Divisional Police Officers have been properly briefed of their
respective roles as it relates to the celebration.
He also advised Muslims to guard
against carrying bags and baggage to praying grounds. They are to only carry
along their praying mats.
He added that this is not to
inconvenience the worshippers but a precautionary measure to guard against any
eventuality.
