Recently CKN News crew were taken on a tour of what we can describe as one of the best health facility we have ever seen in Nigeria..Its located in the heart of ONDO.Laje road road to be precise,about 25 minutes drive from Akure.The health facility that has one of the best modern equipment with an average of 70 doctors and can treat about 13 major type of serious surgeries (far better than most Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria)..

Such ailments like Kidney Transplant,Spinal Chord reconstruction ,bones and other major surgeries can be treated with 100% accuracy here.With a hundred bed facilitity and another 150 beds facility almost finished,the hospital in Ondo should attract your attention..

It also has facility for a Helipad where helicopters can land incase of an emergency..During our discussion with Governor Olusegun Mimiko,we asked him how come not much is known about this world class facility and his answer was as simple "CKN ,we don't make noise about our modest achievements,i prefer to be a silent achiever "..

But we informed him ,its a disservice to most Nigerians who pay millions of dollars years traveling abroad to treat such illness when the facility is in Ondo and his answer was  "CKN,since you feel we should start talking about it,i ll oblige you.I just wanted my people to take full advantage of these facilities before we start opening it up,moreso can you believe,i have not even commissioned it,i am still equipping.We have gone further in building a College of Medicine around it to train future world class medical doctors too".
